Course: Chairlift Valley Station (Start) ➔ Forest road ➔ Tarscher Alm (Mountain Station) ➔ Lake Tarcenis ➔ Trail No. 9 ➔ Gumfrei ➔ Toboggan run ➔ Valley Station (Destination)
This mountain hike leads you to the Lake Tarcenis (Tarscher See). Whether you choose to climb the entire way on foot or ride the chairlift, this tour offers pristine nature, a cozy stop for refreshments at the Tarscher Alm, and an adventurous descent back into the valley. You start at the parking lot near the valley station of the Tarsch chairlift (1,200 m). From here, hike along the forest road, climbing steadily through the mountain forest up to the Tarscher Alm pasture (1,940 m). Tip: If you wish to skip the climb, you can easily ride the chairlift up to the mountain station. Directly at the mountain station/Tarscher Alm, head east. A comfortable, nearly flat path leads you on a highly relaxed 40-minute walk through larch forests directly to the Lake Tarcenis (1,828 m). From the lake, walk northwards over a flat ridge and then descend along the steep, somewhat demanding and rocky path No. 9 to Gumfrei. The final section of the trail leads you relaxed and comfortably along the natural toboggan run back to the parking lot at the valley station.
