Info

Equipment: Sturdy footwear with good grip (highly recommended as the spray makes the stones near the platform damp and slippery), sun protection, and sufficient drinking water. Tips: The fine spray of the waterfall is rich in active oxygen ions. Breathing in this microclimate is proven to soothe the airways and boost your immune system. Where to eat: Gasthof Wasserfall (traditional inn directly below the waterfall with a gorgeous panoramic terrace)

Course: Parcines (Start) ➔ Zieltal Path ➔ Gasthaus Wasserfall ➔ Secured path ➔ Viewing platform / Parcines Waterfall (Destination & highest point) ➔ Gasthaus Wasserfall ➔ Parcines (Return path)

This hike leads you directly to one of South Tyrol's most spectacular natural monuments – the Parcines Waterfall. With a drop of nearly 97 meters, the wild waters of the Zieltal valley plunge thunderously into the depths. From the picturesque village center of Parcines (650 m), hike on a steadily ascending, well-maintained trail northwards into the impressive Zieltal valley. The path winds past meadows and light mountain forests, climbing continuously until you reach the beautifully situated Gasthof Wasserfall (1,070 m). (Tip: If you want to save energy or are traveling with family, you can take the local guest bus (fee applies) from the bus stop in the village center directly to the inn.) From the Gasthof Wasserfall inn, a secure, well-laid path leads you in just a few minutes to a spectacular viewing platform situated in immediate proximity to the waterfall. Feel the immense power of the water and the fine, therapeutic mist on your skin! The return to Parcines is a relaxed walk back along the same route.
