Equipment: Sturdy, comfortable footwear, sun protection, and some drinking water. Tips: Be sure to visit the Hospital Church of the Holy Spirit (Spitalkirche zum Hl. Geist) in the village center. It houses a highly valuable late-Gothic winged altar carved by the famous Allgäu master sculptor Jörg Lederer (around 1515/1520) – a true masterpiece of sacred art! Where to eat: Gasthof Latscherhof (traditional family-run inn with a shady beer garden at the edge of the forest)

Course: Laces (Start) ➔ Ice Stadium ➔ Wildlife Gate ➔ Mareinwaal ➔ Razuller Forest Road ➔ Razuller Clearing ➔ Latscherhof Inn ➔ Laces (Destination)

This easy and pleasantly cool forest hike on the shaded southern slopes of the Monte Tramontana is perfect for hot summer days. Start in the town center of Laces and follow the road heading south toward the ice stadium. Directly at the forest edge, turn left, pass through the wildlife gate, and after about 150 meters, you will reach the Mareinwaal irrigation channel. Walk along this scenic path, ascending moderately in an easterly direction until you meet the wider Razuller forest road. Turn right onto the forest road and follow it as it climbs gently heading west to its end. Here, switch to a narrower mountain trail that leads you from the end of the road across the beautiful Razuller forest clearing steadily downhill. The path brings you safely back to the ice stadium and the Latscherhof inn. From there, take an easy stroll along the paved road back to the center of Laces.
