A relaxed river and meadow walk at the gateway to the Stelvio National Park. Drive into the Martello Valley to the spacious parking lot at the "Trattla" leisure center (1,198 m). Directly behind the center, cross the rushing Plima mountain river via a wooden bridge. On the opposite bank, climb up a short, shaded alder slope until you reach a sunny meadow terrace. Follow this flat path heading gently into the valley. Walking past blooming alpine meadows, you will enjoy peaceful views across the valley floor. Eventually, you will meet a wider connecting path. Here you have a choice: either turn left to head straight back to Trattla or turn right to stroll further up into the charming Martell Village (Martell-Dorf, 1,310 m). Variant for Explorers: The trail network around Trattla and the Plima river offers a variety of easy, picturesque walking paths. Simply check the large trail map at the National Park Visitor Center and customize your own loop walk!
