Where to eat: Gasthof zum See (cozy inn located directly at the trailhead with a beautiful terrace and local South Tyrolean dishes)

Course: Gasthof zum See Inn (Start, 1,850 m) ➔ Right Lakeshore Path ➔ Zufrittsee Dam ➔ Return via Trail No. 17 ➔ Gasthof zum See Inn (Destination)

A relaxed lakeside walk along the turquoise Lake Gioveretto set against a dramatic mountain backdrop. Drive into the upper Martello Valley (Val Martello) to the parking lot near the Gasthof zum See inn (approx. 1,850 m). From the parking area, follow the short access road and switch to the scenic walking path that runs along the right shore of the lake. The path is mostly flat and offers wonderful views across the sparkling waters until you reach the impressive dam structure. After taking in the views at the dam, begin your return journey. To add a bit of variety to this straightforward walk, take trail No. 17 for the way back. This narrow forest path runs slightly above the main shoreline trail and brings you comfortably back to the starting point at Gasthof zum See.
