A spectacular high-altitude trail passing historic mountain farms above the Venosta and Schnals Valleys. From the center of Naturno (Naturns), drive by car or shuttle bus up the Sonnenberg road to the Grub farmstead (1,377 m). Join the Merano High Path (No. 24) directly from here. Walking at a fairly constant altitude, head west across steep grassy slopes, passing the historic mountain farms of Galmein and Innerforch until you reach the Lint farm (1,464 m). From Lint, the high-altitude trail continues across the impressive farms at Fuchsberg (Innerunterstell). Eventually, the path turns into the Schnalstal Valley, leading you with gentle ups and downs directly into Katharinaberg (1,245 m). For the return journey to Naturno, simply take the local public bus. If you wish to shorten the hike or descend back to Naturno, branch off at the Lint farm and hike via the Patleidhof down to the top station of the Unterstell Cable Car (1,282 m). From there, take the cable car down to Kompatsch/Naturno or descend on foot along Trail No. 10.
