46 Loop Hike Hochforch – Ohrnalm – Gigglberg

Course: Hochforch Farm (Start, 1,155 m) ➔ Trail No. 25 ➔ Ohrnalm Pasture (Highest point, 1,974 m) ➔ Descent to Gigglberg (1,565 m) ➔ Merano High Path No. 24 ➔ Hochforch Farm (Destination)

A varied mountain loop from historic hillside farms up to a tranquil alpine pasture. Drive from Naturno up the Sonnenberg road to the Hochforch farmstead (1,155 m, parking available). Join Trail No. 25 directly from the farm. The path climbs steadily through mountain forests and open slopes until you reach the peaceful Ohrnalm pasture (1,974 m) – the highest point of the hike. After a well-deserved rest, continue following Trail No. 25 downwards toward Gigglberg (1,565 m). Here, you intersect with the renowned Merano High Path (No. 24) (Meraner Höhenweg). Follow this trail heading west at a fairly constant altitude, enjoying magnificent panoramic views all the way back to your starting point at Hochforch.
